Gary
became a member of the Wayne Township Fire Department in June of 1970 at
Mickleyville Station #5. For the next 29 and a half years Gary became very
involved in the fire department and in 1974 he graduated the first
Emergency Medical Technician class to be held at Wayne Township Fire
Department. He has held the ranks of Fire Inspector, Lieutenant, Captain,
Safety Officer, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief of Operations and
Administration. Prior to being hired as a career Deputy Chief of the
Wayne Township Fire Department in January of 2000, Gary worked for Trans
World Airlines for 30 years.
Gary has state master certifications in tactics, administration,
instruction, investigations, driver operations, and air crash rescue.
Gary has been recognized for many achievements during his career in the
fire service including a service and dedication award in 1985, firefighter
of the year 2 times and officer of the year 2 times. |
